Paying Tribute to Sarie Jacobs
De Waterkant House was launched with Ms Sarie Jacobs as the resident host.
Sarie made the house world famous with her warm hospitality and delicious rusks. Guests who came to visit Sarie became close friends, and in one case she was even invited to visit them Holland.
In 2009, after working for Village & Life for 14 years, Sarie retired with a spectacular farewell attended by neighbours,
friends and fans.
